Question by janet s: Advice please if there is anyway I can treat my Greyhounds coat ?
Adopted my second Greyhound almost 6 weeks ago Bald patches on his hind quaters have grown new hair so that is a good sign I think .He does need much grooming as he is malting alot which I put down to central heating however when grooming he appears to have only what I can only describe as Dandruff. He has one codliver oil capsule each morning and sardines in oil twice a week at breakfast. Is there anything else I can do as if his skin is so dry I cannot think that it is very comfortable Thankyou

You could try tea tree oil. or use a rake comb to stimulate his skin, or rub him with olive oil(makes a very shiny hound)

Question by ƸӜƷCarleyƸӜƷ: recently re-homed greyhound coat falling out….?
recently re-homed a greyhound.lived outside for the past 12 months before we took her in and is in really good health, her coat was lovely, teeth, gums, weight etc…. however,
we noticed a flea on her a few days after we got her ( she must of picked them up since us having her ) so obviously we flea shampooed her and got her a flea collar
a few weeks later her fur has started maulting a lot and i mean a lot, some of it in chunks.
i was wondering if someone else has greyhounds and knows why? we have kept her exact same diet so cant be food, and no fleas so not that? im thinking it could either be bringing her in after living outside for so long or maybe her flea collar?
any advise would be grateful!!!!!!!!
