Question by Annie C: Is it normal for my retired greyhound to poo 6/7 times a day?
since we got our greyhound 2 weeks ago he has done 6/7 soft poos every day. this cant be normal. i have changed his diet on the advice of another greyhound owner who never has trouble with her dogs. i have tried adding white rice to his dinner. he was wormed at the end of june so it cant be worms, can it? its an absolute nightmare. his first poo of the day is normally quite solid however its down hill from then on. its only 6.30pm and he has done 7 already. his coat is in good condition and he seems well. help!!!!

Changing his food midstream could be part of the problem. Take him to the vet, animals get virus’s too.

Bathe no more than every 4-6 weeks, brush occasionally with a soft-bristled brush to remove dead hair, and feed a good-quality diet with no wheat, corn, soy, or non-specific ingredients.

Question by Nicole: knitting / sewing patterns for greyhound coats etc?????
Does someone know where I can get a knitting pattern or sewing pattern for a greyhound coat, jumper or pyjamas? It may sound daft however I want some kind of house coat or pyjamas to keep my greyhound warm in the house through winter, particularly during the night when the heating is turned off.

There are lots of patterns out there, many of them free. Just google it and you’ll spend all night looking through the patterns!
www.knittingpatterncentral.com has many patterns. Go to the “pet” section and you’ll find a great assortment of dog coats.
If you are in a hurry for something to keep your baby warm, I’d suggest you get an old fleecy sweatshirt and put it on your dog. This should keep at least it’s chest area warm.

Question by ƸӜƷCarleyƸӜƷ: recently re-homed greyhound coat falling out….?
recently re-homed a greyhound.lived outside for the past 12 months before we took her in and is in really good health, her coat was lovely, teeth, gums, weight etc…. however,
we noticed a flea on her a few days after we got her ( she must of picked them up since us having her ) so obviously we flea shampooed her and got her a flea collar
a few weeks later her fur has started maulting a lot and i mean a lot, some of it in chunks.
i was wondering if someone else has greyhounds and knows why? we have kept her exact same diet so cant be food, and no fleas so not that? im thinking it could either be bringing her in after living outside for so long or maybe her flea collar?
any advise would be grateful!!!!!!!!
